Spotted in Spots

How was everyone's weekend?  It has been a few busy weeks in a row for me now, and I'm in need of a little break!  Think I'm headed to Maine for the weekend and the timing couldn't be more perfect... 

How do you feel about this dress?  I was hesitant because I felt it made me look too boxy and 'full' in the waistline.  But given the short length paired with the arched cut at the waist, I suppose it works.  I kept it very simple with my shoes and accessories.  You know I love an all black and white look!

Polka Dot Culottes

Well, here we go again.  Another hot week ahead!  These fluid culottes are perfect for the hot temps.  I actually had to pair this look with a cardigan while I was at the office in the cold air conditioning.  After work, I met up with my girl Danielle for some dinner and drinks (and some blogging).  I had to lose the cardigan -- but as the sun set, this outfit was perfect for some dinner al fresco!

Dressed in Dots

This past weekend I took a long scenic drive up the coast of Maine.  I brought both a denim jacket + military inspired vest, because you never know how quickly the weather may change.  Plus, it never hurts to switch up a look after a long car ride.  Both options came in handy, especially the jacket during the random rain showers we encountered.  But the rain didn't stop us from lunching on lobster rolls + sipping Blueberry Martinis.   A perfect ending to a relaxing weekend.

Dress weather has arrived.  I was ecstatic to throw on an effortless dress + basic sandals - my go-to outfit for a causal dinner or day running errands.  Plus, I had been dying to breakout this dress.  For colder evenings, bring a denim jacket or black cardigan to throw on top.  Have a great week.

For a day of bopping around town, this outfit was as comfortable + breezy as they come.  Lately, I've been pairing nearly everything with white jeans, as opposed to black pants or skinny jeans - I can save those puppies for after Labor Day.  Can't believe its already August 1st... Happy Thursday.

Pink Peplum and Polka-dots

We're expecting a huge storm today + into tomorrow.  So with work canceled, I took the opportunity to blog about some of my recent looks (while spending the day hanging out with (babysitting) my little cousins).  Here is what I wore yesterday to work and then out to dinner.  Yes, I finally snagged this Kate Spade purse I had been eyeing for months (it was a major steal at over half off).  Its never to early for a bright pop of color.  Stay warm and stay tuned for more posts this week.  

Dot Dot Dot

Last night, I celebrated with my best friend on her recent engagement.  I'm so happy for her + her husband-to-be.  Plus, I was very excited to wear my new polka-dot skirt (although I think I picked the coldest day of the week).   Happy Friday!
