Peasant Peplum // with Femme Boutique Boston

How cute is my new peplum top, thanks to Femme Boutique Boston?  It makes me want to pack away my entire winter wardrobe, but unfortunately, Mother Nature just is not cooperating!  I was able to wear it this past Sunday, for a little Sunday-Funday with Danielle (thanks for taking these pics).  Hoping for more beautiful weather soon!

Geometric Print Shift Dress

And just like that the long weekend has come and gone!  Mine was fabulous, but feeling like I over indulged a bit too much!  I'll be hitting the gym pretty hard this week...

Polka Dot Culottes

Well, here we go again.  Another hot week ahead!  These fluid culottes are perfect for the hot temps.  I actually had to pair this look with a cardigan while I was at the office in the cold air conditioning.  After work, I met up with my girl Danielle for some dinner and drinks (and some blogging).  I had to lose the cardigan -- but as the sun set, this outfit was perfect for some dinner al fresco!

Happy Wednesday everyone!  I can't even begin to tell you all the amazing sales happening at H&M this past weekend.  I snagged this top for only $10, and a few others for even less!  (coming soon!)   I decided to pair this top with my new navy dress pants and this bright turquoise clutch to highlight the many colors in the blouse.  The top is so versatile it could even be dressed down with some denim boyfriend shorts or white jeans & sandals.

how to style your blanket scarf

This season particularly, blanket scarfs are everywhere!  You may find your self wondering: "How the heck do I wear this thing?" or "How do I get the most use out of my scarf?"  There are many possibilities but I wanted to share 3 of my favorite ways to style my blanket scarves: 

1 - Tied around the neck.

This is a great way to add those last minute finishing touches to your look, plus it provides added warmth for those days that a coat just isn't necessary.

2 - Draped long around the neck  

This option adds length and dimension to the overall look, while providing additional warmth.  Pair with your favorite pea-coat or just by itself.  

3 - Wrapped around your shoulders as a poncho.

This option is perfect for travelling (say long Holiday car rides) or running those last minute Holiday errand (you know?  when you don't want to wear a bulky jacket).  For a dressier look, say grabbing drinks with your girl friends after work, take your favorite belt and tie around the poncho at your waist.  

I hope these looks provide you with a bit of inspiration this season.  My exact scarf is currently sold out online, but you may still find it in stores.  Shop an almost identical version or black option.
