Pink Loves Red

Hump Day!  These pictures are brought to you from the Beautiful Charlestown Navy Yard.  It's hard to believe we are experiencing 70 degree weather in Novemeber, but hey, I'll take it.

I decided to opt out of my comfort zone with this look.  Instead of pairing this soft pink vest with my go-to black flats, I laced up my red ones and headed out the door with no turning back (inspired by my recent insta).  Pink and red (surprisingly?) compliment each other nicely here.  Though it could be the red brick or colorful fall blooms making the whole picture appealing.  Either way, I'm happy with this look.  What do you think?

Nashoba Valley Winery

I spent Sunday afternoon at the picturesque Nashoba Valley Winery for a wine tasting.  We each tasted 5 wines of our choosing.  After, we purchased 2 bottles of our favorites: Pinot Noir Rose, with the perfect amount of semi-sweetness, and the Renaissance, a full bodied red blend.  Then we headed out to the picnic area to sip, snack and relax.  

I opted for this comfy (and warm) cowlneck sweater that I purchased during the Lord & Taylor Friends and Family sale, paired with my go-to booties and most comfortable jeans.  I grabbed my Old Navy blanket scarf while running out the door, and I'm glad I did - as the sun began to hide behind the clouds, the weather got a bit chilly (and windy as evidenced in the picture above & below).

Why can't Sunday mornings just last forever?  I just love snuggling up in bed with a coffee, some Law & Order re-runs and my iPad, catching up on some blogs and articles I missed all week.  The weekend always seems to slip away before we know it...
