Casual Comfort in Reykjavik

If you follow me on the 'gram, you must know by now that I just returned home from a 5 day trip to Iceland.  The trip was jam-packed, from geysirs to ATVs, lattes to lagoons, waterfalls to walking tours...  We did. not. stop, well maybe only for Happy Hour...  (More details on the amazing trip and my recommendations coming next week...)

But for the day dedicated entirely to discovering the cool city of Reykjavik, my style was all about keeping it casual and comfortable (not to mention warm).  I knew from the beginning I would only be able to bring one jacket on the trip (due to strict suitcase limitations), and at last minute I opted for my BB Dakota Tribal jacket.  It fit nicely into the Reykjavik culture with the fur accent and bright pops of color, not to mention it kept me plenty warm for the chilly temps!  These ankle boots saw the entire city, as they were the only shoes I wore the entire time in Reykjavik.  They were the perfect mix of style and comfort.  If traveling to Iceland, I highly recommend devoting at least 1-2 to the city itself, there was so much more to discover.  I guess that's a good excuse to go back...

Camel on Camel

Basically, everyone should have a camel coat in their closet.  Timeless.  Versatile.  Classic.  

Here, I opted for a camel on camel (on camel) ensemble.  And even though the camel shades vary, it works to my advantage by preventing the look from becoming too matchy-matchy.  I also tried to balance all the 'camel' with gold accents and dark jeans to help elongate the legs.

BB Dakota Tribal Jacket

Hello again, it's me.  Quick joke: why did Adele cross the road? ......  To say Hello from the other side.  I know its corny, but I just had to...  

Anywho, I wanted to share this AMAZING jacket.  It is currently on sale at half off (only $63), plus you can save an additional 25% with at the Lord & Taylor Friends and Family sale with code "friends".  This is such an amazing steal, among many others.  But you have to act quick, the Lord and Taylor Friends and Family Sale ends today.  

I've only worn this coat a couple times now and already received tons of compliments.  It's a great winter jacket that will be sure to last you for years to come.  But, it runs large so I recommend sizing down.

Finally, (finally!) I had the chance over this past weekend to snap pictures of this recent white-on-white look.
Even though we're drowning in snow (and it was still snowing when these pics were taken), I couldn't resist a bit more white with this winter white combo.  To finish the look, I added this camel coat, navy booties + of course, pink shades.
